Google debuted Circle to Search at the launch of the Galaxy S24 series last year, so it's only fitting for the company to unveil new features at this year's Galaxy S25 launch event.

During Galaxy Unpacked, Google announced that it's expanding AI Overviews in Circle to Search to more visual searches. When you select a part of the screen that contains a place, a trending image, a unique object, or some other visual element, you'll get a snapshot of helpful information with links to learn more, all without switching apps. These snapshots are generated by Google's AI, which may not be available in your region or language. Google states that these expanded AI Overviews are currently available in English on Android devices in regions where AI Overviews are already supported.

In addition, Circle to Search will soon automatically recognize when phone numbers, email addresses, or URLs are shown on screen, saving you from having to manually select them. You simply need to tap one of the buttons that appear to place a call, send an email, or open a website. These new one-tap actions will appear on all Android devices that support Circle to Search.
