Circle to Search with Google is coming to the HONOR Magic V3 and HONOR 200 series.
Circle to Search with Google is a neat feature that lets you search something that you see on your phone or tablet's screen. If the feature is available for your device, then you can press and hold the home button or navigation handle to invoke it, then tap or draw over the words or image you want to look up. The feature was exclusive to Pixel and Samsung devices for about 8 months after its launch in January, but it recently rolled out to select phones from Xiaomi this week. Now, the feature is coming to select phones from HONOR.
HONOR announced today that Circle to Search with Google is coming to its HONOR Magic V3 and HONOR 200 Series. The HONOR Magic V3 is an incredibly thin and light book-style foldable phone that we discussed in episode 61 of the Android Faithful podcast. The HONOR 200 Series, meanwhile, is a pair of high-end slab phones with a lot of AI camera features that we talked about in episode 49 of the podcast.
HONOR says Circle to Search will be available on the HONOR Magic V3 starting today, while the HONOR 200 Series will be getting the feature sometime later this year. Alongside the launch of Circle to Search on HONOR phones, HONOR also highlighted some of the new AI features it announced at IFA 2024 this year, including the HONOR AI Eraser, Face to Face Translation, and Translation Tools in the HONOR Notes app. We talked about these three features, along with the launch of the HONOR MagicPad 2, in episode 61 of the podcast.
